The short version

No account is required and your position is never logged. The geodesy runs on your device, so a precise GPS fix has no path off the hardware in your hand.

What we process

At page load, an edge function inspects your public IP to seed an approximate starting position; that lookup happens in memory at Cloudflare’s edge and is not written to a log we keep. Should you drop a pin and request its address, only those coordinates pass to a cached proxy fronting OpenStreetMap Nominatim — purely to return the label. They are not tied to you and not held afterward.

Browser location

Any readout of your precise position goes through the browser’s geolocation API, which requests your consent first, every time. That fix feeds the on-device math and renders to the screen; it does not leave the device and we never receive a copy.

Cookies & analytics

The only thing kept in your browser is a small preference store — your language choice, for example. There are no advertising cookies and no data is ever put up for sale.
